We have changed the date and time to this Saturday Jan 19 at 7:00 as this is the first day snowshoe rental is available

Strap on your snowshoes and head into the stillness of the winter forest at the top of the Tram. There are many ways to enjoy the snow in the San Jacinto Mountains, but snowshoeing is perhaps one of the most exhilarating. Snowshoes can be rented at the Adventure Center at the top of the tram. We will hike a mile or so in Long Valley, mostly level terrain.

  • Distance: 1 mile

  • Minimum Elevation
  • Type: Out and back
  • Hike time:1-2 hours
  • Meeting location: Tram valley station:7:00 AM if you have a tram pass. Arrive earlier if you need to get in line for a ticket.

Money for snowshoe rental-tram-lunch, water, sun protection, layered clothing (temperature is 30 degrees cooler on the mountain), hiking poles may be helpful.  Sturdy hiking footwear suitable for winter snowshoeing.
