Barlett Lake Bash occurs twice a year always the 3rd weekend of May & September! This is not a Great Outdoors event. We post it here for those GOPS members who may be interested in attending another organization's outdoor camping and lake event. Several GOPS members have gone for years and a nice size group went in 2016.
Bartlett Lake Bash was started many years ago (around 1991) by gay men and lesbians who wanted to meet at the Lake. Bartlett was the closest and it was the first lake selected and has now become a tradition! Click here to read about Who, What, Where, When, Why & History of the event.
Although this event is free, it's not free to camp in the Tonto National Forest. You will need to buy a $8.00 pass (per night) if you are staying over night at the lake - click here for pass information.
Visit www.BartlettLakeBash.com for details. Read this page for the specific location on the lake - click here. There is a link there to obtain driving directions. It's approx. a 5 hour drive from the Palm Springs area.
From their website: This camping event is not sponsored by a person or any company; it's the people who keep the camping event alive. Each person is responsible for their own supplies and their own camp. The event takes place the 3rd weekend of May and September.
